Xmas -Event -Decoration

Christmas is upon us again and whilst things aren’t completely back to normal it might at least be a more sociable affair than Xmas 2020 with it’s bubbles and well ventilated rooms!

In case anyone out there is out of practice with the Yuletide festive drill we’ve taken a look through the digital realm for Christmas things to get you started.

Festive Museum Events

There are still lots of events happening this Christmas in Norfolk and surrounding area, not least Bressingham’s own magical Christmas opening featuring night-time train rides, twinkling fairy lights and a visit to Father Christmas (book now to avoid disappointment!)

We’re not the only museum to be opening it’s doors to celebrate Xmas though!

The Time and Tide museum in Gt Yarmouth (Who were featured in our blog just last month!) will be running a free event, Time & Tidings, on December 13th between 5 and 8pm.

It will feature festive songs, crafts and Christmas characters to welcome in the season. Plus, a chance to meet Father Christmas (He does get about).

Another one that caught our eye (possibly because there’s a mention of a complementary glass of mulled wine and mince pie) was Gressenhall Farm and Workhouse museum’s Victorian Family Christmas involving a pantomime, listening to ghost stories and seasonal crafts.

Other Christmas Events

Whilst Dinosaurs and Christmas are not instantly recognisable bed-fellows that hasn’t stopped Roar, the dinosaur adventure park at Lenwade running their christmas event from 26th November to 23rd December 2021.

The event will feature special Live performance, a brand new festive film ‘The Sleigh Ride’ showing at Dippy’s Theatre and Christmas crafts in their Secret Animal Garden.

Another event with links to film is the Mid-Norfolk Railway’s Polar Express™ Train Ride which features scenes from the film come to life including dancing Chefs and Waiters serving cookies and hot chocolate (We’re sure all necessary insurances are in place!)

Last but not least is The Wroxham Barns Christmas Experience which seems to sell out quickly every year - The event will feature an Animal Nativity, Crafts, an “Elf Academy” and Christmas Story time

Pop it on your calendar for next year if they’re sold out!
