Join us for a festive adventure at Bressingham Steam Museum this Christmas! Experience the magic of the season with a visit to our enchanting grotto, where Father Christmas, Mother Christmas, and their elves await to greet children aged 12 and under with special gifts.

After your grotto visit, explore our festive exhibition hall, be amazed by a magical show, embark on a scenic Christmas train ride, or indulge in delicious festive treats at our café.

Dates: November 24th & 30th, December 1st, 7th, 8th, 14th, 15th, 21st, 22nd, 23rd, & 24th.

We are hosting a SEN opening on Saturday 23rd November and a Toddler day on Friday 20th December.

Tickets are sold with specific entry slots. The entry time of your ticket is the time you should aim to arrive. On arrival you must head to the Grotto to meet Father Christmas. Following your meet and greet with Father Christmas you are free to enjoy the rest of our Christmas offering at your leisure. There is no requirement to leave at a specific time we just ask for a prompt arrival at your booking slot time.

Season Ticket Holders: Season Ticket holders will need to book slots to visit us over Christmas. Please call the ticket office on 01379 415009 or visit in person to book tickets. Adults are free, any children wishing to have a present and visit the Grotto will need to pay a small supplement. Children ages 1 and over £8, children under 1 £6.75. Any child wishing visit without a visit to the grotto is free. Tickets are required for any visit over the Christmas events.

Our railways

Bressingham is a great day out for everyone who loves railways. We have three narrow gauge passenger railways, along with a standard gauge demonstration railway, with journeys over three miles of track.

Our gardens

Bressingham's four linking gardens cover 17 acres and are renowned for their horticultural excellence. Enjoy a leisurely stroll around this peaceful natural haven, or better still, see them from one of our fabulous steam engines.

Our museum

Walk into our exhibition hall and be transported back to the 1940s, with a full-size street scene, Dad's Army displays, vintage vehicles, traction engines, living vans and even an Anderson shelter. The museum is also home to a full size Travelling Post Office (TPO), so climb aboard and see if you can match the speedy sorting skills of postal workers!
