There really is something for everyone here at Bressingham, whether it's the railway, traction and stationery steam engine collection, the beautiful gardens or our museum which celebrates the age of steam and the much-loved Dad's Army television series.

The Bressingham Collection

Step back in time by taking a trip on one of our four railways, with routes through the gardens, woodland and fen, or climb aboard our beautiful Victorian gallopers.

A visit to the locomotive sheds shows the power of mighty steam engineering in all its glory. See historic locomotives, the refinement of royal carriages and stationery engines in action.

There's even a chance to experience working life on the railways first-hand, in an authentic Victorian signal box and a Travelling Post Office.

In our museum, wander through a street scene of Walmington-on-Sea to see the National Dad's Army collection with original props and vehicles from the series; discover what it was like to use an Anderson Shelter during the Second World War; get close-up to giant traction engines and peek inside the living huts used by their drivers.

Bressingham Gardens

Bressingham Gardens are renowned for their horticultural excellence. With four linking gardens across 17 acres containing around 8,000 species, they are a truly peaceful and tranquil place.

Our railways

Bressingham is a great day out for everyone who loves railways. We have three narrow gauge passenger railways, along with a standard gauge demonstration railway, with journeys over three miles of track.

Our gardens

Bressingham's four linking gardens cover 17 acres and are renowned for their horticultural excellence. Enjoy a leisurely stroll around this peaceful natural haven, or better still, see them from one of our fabulous steam engines

Our museum

Walk into our exhibition hall and be transported back to the 1940s, with a full-size street scene, Dad's Army displays, vintage vehicles, traction engines, living vans and even an Anderson shelter. The museum is also home to a full size Travelling Post Office (TPO), so climb aboard and see if you can match the speedy sorting skills of postal workers!
